5 Bar Swordtail Forewings
Scientific name: Graphium antiphates.
Common names: 5 Bar Swordtail or Green-black Giant Jay.
Location: South & Southeast Asia.
Fun Fact: Many species of butterflies partake in mud-puddling. Mud-puddling is where they sit and sip from a puddle of mud, dung or blood in order to take in water and essential nutrients. Sometimes they seem to become intoxicated from whatever they were puddling from, and become oblivious to their surroundings, making them especially vulnerable to predator attacks.
Fine Print: Insects naturally vary in color, pattern and size, and so the pair you receive may not be completely identical to the pair shown. They also may have minor damage, especially in the case of those that died of natural causes.
Care instructions: Don't leave resin sitting in a hot car with oven temperatures (we're looking at you Florida). To clean, use a glasses cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
